Tool 02 / DNS
DNS Lookup
Resolve A, AAAA, MX, TXT, NS and CNAME records over DNS-over-HTTPS.
Enter a domain and pick a record type.
About this tool
A / AAAA records map a name to an IPv4 / IPv6 address — check them when a
site won't load or after moving hosting. CNAME makes a name an alias of
another name (common for www and SaaS services). NS lists the authoritative
nameservers — check it after changing registrar or DNS provider.
MX records say which servers receive email for the domain; the lower
preference number is tried first. Check them when mail bounces or after a move to Microsoft
365 or Google Workspace. TXT records hold email-security policy — v=spf1 (SPF) lives on the domain itself, while DMARC lives at _dmarc.example.com and DKIM at selector._domainkey.example.com.
TTL is how many seconds resolvers may cache an answer. After you change a record, users can keep getting the old answer for up to the old TTL.
Results come from Google Public DNS, so they show what the public internet sees. Internal-only names and split-horizon records on your company DNS won't appear here.
